It is a original battery from Lenovo. I bought it for a replacement for my old one. It can be used for 5.5 hours without electricity charging. However, it is heavier than the 6 Cell battery that I used before. If you don' care about the weight of the battery, it is a very good choice for you.

I bought this for my Thinkpad X230i. It adds to both the bulk and weight of the laptop compared to the 6 cell battery but the added life - up to 8 hours on my sort of use - is well worthwhile. The date on it suggests it was made in July 2016 so was about 1 year old when I bought it.

bought as a replacement for the original battery that came with the computer. initially it would only hold charge for 6hrs (instead of the 11hrs of the original), but after 3 or 4 cycles of fully charging - fully depleting, it came up to 10 hrs of battery life and stayed that way. very pleased.
